Van hire vs shared seats

  • Van hire: you pay for the whole vehicle and the driver, however many of you go.
  • Shared trip: you pay per seat on a trip the driver has planned, and share the van with other travellers.

Own a van?

Van owners in Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna and across Sri Lanka publish trips on JoinTrip and fill their empty seats. Drive and earn.

How JoinTrip works

  1. Pick a trip and your seat.
  2. Pay your driver at pick-up, just before your ticket is scanned. Don't pay in advance.
  3. Cancel free until booking closes. If the trip doesn't run, nothing is lost.
